Currently under the management of Hans Van Weyenberg and Paul-Henri Verhelst, this family business now has its third generation at the helm. Boerinneke has always made its products with the greatest care, from the very beginning. Distinguishing characteristics are the outstanding spreadability and delicious taste of its chocolate spread.

OVER THE YEARS

  • 1965

    The first chocolate spread is launched on the market under the brand name Boerinneke.

  • 1975

    ‘t Boerinneke acquires the chocolate spread brand ‘Marino’.

  • 1997

    Clement Veyt’s son-in-law Joseph Van Weyenberg takes over running the company. In 2000 his son Hans joins the company, which results in further modernisation.

  • 2002

    The manufacture of cheese comes to a definitive standstill to enable the company to focus exclusively on the production and commercialisation of chocolate spread.

  • 2003

    The integration of food safety standards is awarded BRC and IFS certification.

  • 2010

    Considerable investments help the company further expand and bring it to the next level of modernisation.

  • 2015

    Boerinneke celebrates its 60th anniversary.
